Le street-artist français Julien Nonnon, reconnu pour ses installations numériques et ses projets de vidéo-mapping urbain, a récemment signé un spectacle visuel inédit à l’église Notre-Dame de Saint-Chamond. Cette performance, intitulée « RÊVER », s’inscrit dans une démarche artistique innovante visant à mettre en valeur le patrimoine architectural à travers l’art numérique monumental et la technologie immersive.

After more than twenty years of closure, the Notre-Dame Church of Saint-Chamond has reopened its doors as a vibrant cultural space, hosting concerts, contemporary creations, and participatory events.

In this context, Julien Nonnon's video mapping is not just a light projection: it is ameeting between the history of the building and digital art, offering the public aunique visual and emotional experience.

Video Mapping as a Tool for Expression in Public Space

Video mapping involves projecting digital images onto architectural surfaces while playing with their volumes and textures. This technique transforms mundane or historical facades intodynamic canvases, creating visual illusions that interact with the urban space and its audience.

During the event in Saint-Chamond, Julien Nonnon's projection took place in the heart of the city, transforming the church into amonumental screen.
